S17200: Creating Interactive eBooks with Book Creator for iPad
Feature Overview: Book Creator allows users to easily create eBooks, complete with text, images, videos and hyperlinks, which can take users to another page within the eBook or to an outside resource. The snap to grid lines and layout guides make the process of beautifying your eBook almost effortless. With a neat little Chrome Web App called Readium, eBooks can even be exported, stored online, and read online by students or parents without the Book Creator app.
Pros: Ease of use, support for hyperlinks and video embedding.
Cons: While the exporting of eBooks and viewing of them online using Readium is a nice feature, you'll note the layout isn't quite as large or aesthetically pleasing. Also, to view/test your eBook, you export them to iBooks, and if your page orientation isn't in landscape when you export, the view defaults to a two-page view where content isn't quite as big and impressive (there is an easy fix for this but it's a quirk in the app).

Your Challenge: Create an eBook that includes...
- a custom background
- custom text (font size/type, text box background color)
- image/photo
- video
- link to page within eBook
- link to outside resource/website
- Bonus: See if you can export your final product to a cloud storage service, and then, on a laptop, open your eBook with the Readium Chrome extension (which needs to be installed in your Chrome browser)
